The owners of a Victorian terrace in Brixton sought out Russian For Fish to conduct a ground-to-gable refurbishment of the property, incorporating a rear extension that would give their living space a boost and bring in light from the garden. Working with hand-moulded Con Mosso bricks to complement the house’s existing exterior aesthetic, we enlarged the kitchen space in collaboration with bespoke specialists 202 Design, and fitted a pitched glass roof onto the extension, incorporating pop-up panels to allow efficient ventilation. This, combined with Crittel-style garden doors from Maxlight, ensures the new space enjoys ample natural light. The emphasis on natural mineral materials and black accents continues in the new bathrooms, which feature marble surfaces juxtaposed with black accessories.
